Edmonton Oilers Dominate Florida Panthers in Game 1 of Stanley Cup Final
McDavid Leads Oilers to 8-1 Victory with Four-Point Performance
Connor McDavid had another spectacular night, recording four points, as the Edmonton Oilers crushed the Florida Panthers 8-1 in Game 1 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final. Stuart Skinner was outstanding with 29 saves on 32 shots faced for the Oilers.
McDavid opened the scoring for Edmonton with a power-play goal in the first period. He followed up with two assists in the second period and added another goal in the third period to cap off the victory.
Carter Verhaeghe tied the game for Florida midway through the first period, but the Oilers took control of the game from that point on. Connor McDavid's second period goal gave Edmonton the lead for good.
